The first time I met her, I didn't know who she is. But, the university vice president for external affairs where we are studying as exchange student introduced her as an English tutor for Koreans.
And we had our first session at her office, at that time. I was really nervous. We finished the session talking about and knowing each other on that day. Although we were awkward for the first time, now, after two months, we are comfortable like a friend. The first and also most important reason I wanted to have a tutor is to speak English fluently. I think we can keep having our sessions because the way I want to learn and she teaches me fits well. My tutor teaches me not only English but also the cultures of the Philippines which I had difficulty with and I didn't know, so it was helpful for me; I could relied on her.
She does not make the demarcation between a teacher and a student. I feel we are like a family. I felt she is like my mom. Sometimes, it was uncomfortable that she interfered and concerned too much in triple things of me like my mom. Of course I thank her she really cares and concerns about me and I think it's good to me. We are very closer, so it's comfortable to communicate with her and I feel my English skill and the confidence in English is developing as having our sessions with her three times a week. I've been invited to many good places, performances and seen. I felt many things owing to my good tutor. I will keep studying with her. And I think I'm lucky to meet her as my tutor who is diligent and sincerely enjoying to teach.
